Adil Youssefi, CEO

Adil joined Liquid Telecom Kenya as the CEO after serving as the Managing Director of Airtel Kenya for three years. He has over 15 years' experience in senior management across Africa, Asia and Europe, with expertise in developing markets, leadership, strategy, telecommunications, sales & marketing, and digital TV. Prior to joining Airtel, Adil had risen through the management ranks of global telecoms and media company Millicom, initially as a Senior Advisor to the Chief Officer Asia in Sri Lanka, before moving to Chad to take up the Chief Executive position and then becoming Chief Executive of Millicom Ghana.

Wilfred Waithaka, Chief Technical Officer

Wilfred joined Liquid Telecom Kenya in 2016 with over 15 years’ senior management experience in IP, triple play HFC, and GPON network management; direct to home (DTH) satellite TV; broadcast systems; data centres; satellite communications; and wireless technologies. Wilfred previously worked with Africa Online, MTN Business Kenya, Intersat Africa and Wananchi Group (ZUKU) as Group Chief Technical Officer. He holds a BTech in Electrical and Communications Engineering and an MSc in Electronics Product Engineering from the University of South Wales, UK, and is a director of the Technology Service Providers of Kenya (Tespok).

Edgar Opata, General Manager Finance

Edgar joined Liquid Telecom Kenya in 2013, and is responsible for the company’s accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury operations, pricing and costing, and tax. He has 15 years of telecommunications industry experience across East Africa, previously with Airtel, Wananchi and Altech Rwanda, as well as in other sectors, with Aga Khan Dar-es Salaam, Aga Khan Mombasa and Maersk Sealand. He is a Certified Accountant and member of ICPAK and holds an accounting degree and MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. He has completed the coursework for a PhD in Leadership and Governance at JKUAT.

Neeraj Pradhan, General Manager Sales

Neeraj joined Liquid Telecom Kenya in 2016 with a background in system integration and customer service spanning over 20 years. He started as a junior engineer with Modi Xerox Ltd in 1997 and rose through the organization, before joining The Copy Cat Ltd, where he worked for 10 years as a senior engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering specialising in Electronics from North Maharashtra University, India.

Shweta Das, Human Resource Officer

George Kuria, General Manager – Infrastructure Build and Deployment, East Africa

George joined Liquid Telecom Kenya in 2014. He is responsible for infrastructure build and deployment in East Africa, and has 18 years of experience in telecommunications in both East Africa and the US. Prior to joining the company, George was a senior fiber manager with Verizon Communication, California, US, where he oversaw FiOS (fiber to the home) deployment for 13 years. George holds a double Masters in Network/Project Management and a Bachelors in Telecom Management from the US.

 

Dan Kwach, General Manager in charge of the East Africa Data Centre (EADC)

Dan is responsible for the EADC, its commercial strategy, the design, roll-out and build of the data centre’s hosting mainframe, mid-range and production control and network operations. He also manages the design and layout of all data centre environments within Liquid Telecom Kenya, and product development for the collocation business. Dan holds a BSc in Information Technology from JKUAT in Kenya and is a Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) and Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS). He is currently undertaking an online postgraduate MSc in Information Technology at the University of Liverpool.
